Xcopri (cenobamate), for partial-onset seizures
Cenobamate is an investigational antiepileptic drug with a unique dual mechanism of action: it acts via the reduction of persistent currents through voltage-gated sodium channels and positive allosteric modulation of GABAA receptors at the non-benzodiazepine binding site. (source)
so it acts like a gabapentinoid. or maybe like lamotrigine? trying to find an article that says if cenobamate acts on the α2δ subunits like gabapentinoids. plus the gabaA modulation.
it's schedule v. wonder how the high compares to pregabalin.
