Is it possible after using opiates for pain and becoming addicted and after a period of abstinence and getting life in check to take opiates for pain or recreationally again? Opiates is all ive ever been hooked on but after my stroke they improved my ability to work until a close friend died im just curious if anyone has used periodically without it getting out of hand once life settled again. Im not saying its a good idea just more curious if anyone like this exists, ive always accepted my chemical depandency not the physical.
Best regards
Ryan

What exactly do you mean by chemical and physical dependency? If you take opiates consistently for a period of time, you will get withdrawal symptoms, irrespective of what you call it.

Chemical dependency IS physical dependency, do you mean mental?

If that's what you're asking, not necessarily, although certain drugs which don't cause physical withdrawal are nasty addictive, like coke, etc...
