This is not my first run. My resolve for my last detox was moving to the middle of no where for ten months and detoxing cold turkey off an eight year run with many (5-15) loratab, (3-5) bars(xnx), & if I wasn't splitting a ball with my boyfriend I was taking ecstasy prob 4-6. The cycle began like most, severe pain, doctor after doctor, specialist, you name it. We never could get a clear diagnosis on why I suffered through unbearable pain. Started small and just went out the frame as the years past. So yes, I left it all one night just decided. Within 24 hours I was 16 hours away in the middle of no where with absolutely nothing but a couple ozs marijuana. Tuff? I'll never forget anything about the stages I went through, my entire experience. Cold turkey is something serious.....I believe I prob damaged my heart a bit because ever since I've had palpitations here and there. I'm posting this because hopefully I'm going to inspire faith that once you make a decision, it can be done.
Part 2: Because of the experience I had before I didn't want to go down that same road with opiates. I lasted four years. More complications medically, I can remember being in the ER screaming at the doctor to test me after hours of being in extreme pain so he would know I wasn't just trying to get meds. He walked in and told me to shut up, that I was disturbing the other people. After that, NO MORE. I figured if I had decided no more "illegal" street drugs, maybe I could go to a methadone clinic and be legal. I took 2 loratab the day before so it would appear I was a user and was accepted. Little did I know, I was making close to the worst mistake of my life. Five years ago I got up to 65mg and detoxed down to 15 over a six month period. It's basically ran my life. Here we go again. I want my body back! I'm clean eight days now. With the help of someone close reading BL, I'm using quite a few of things mentioned on this forum. It has put my detox in a tolerable state. I know that because I've been in a very similar situation and succeeded, I will again. Thank you to everyone who posts, BL officials, and those who support and who are a life line to those like myself.
