Chasing Illusions

I catch myself chasing things sometimes.
When I was a toddler I chased bubbles;
As a young child I chased my puppy;
As a young girl i chased boys;
As a young woman I find myself chasing dreams.
Ever since I can remember, I have chased my illusions.
Somewhere along the road the tables have turned.
It seems now that the illusions are chasing me.
