Chasing a valium high?

Well I've acquired quite a stash of 10mg valiums.
Now, the first 30mg is great! I'm nice and floaty for a good 2 or 3 hours or so....
then it sorta seems to mellow out (a lot) and im just chill.
Is it advisable to pop a couple more to bring back that rush for another hour or so? or do I just need to let it die off, wait a few days, and enjoy again?
(for something completely different, would I be better off just taking like 10mg a day, on a daily basis, just to sorta take the edge off my everyday bulls**t?)

Ah maybe have a couple hard drinks or just pop a couple more. Alcohol and benzodiazepines both work on your GABA(a) receptors. When they're combined they're synergistic, meaning they increase the effects of eachother. I'm not to sure about the health risks though.
BAM!

Thanks Emeril,
But I really was more concerned about the physiological, pharmacological, and neurological effects....
as in.... is this bad for me?
Thanks though, any other ideas/knowledge to share???
Thanks.

1) Is it bad for you to mix the two? No, not really..
2) Should you chase the high? You can, but you REALLY need to up the dose... it's better to wait a day then do it again .. but if you got the quantity, go for it!

Alright phreex, you seem to be the benzo king around here....
should I just pop 30mg... enjoy it for what its worth, then wait a FULL day before partaking again? or am I good to go the next day?
I have quite a stash but maybe not UNlimited quantity....
Say I have a grand total of around 60 tablets per month, what would be the best way to ration them out? or develope a regimen of enjoyment, but also not developing a considerable tolerance?
Thanks Phreex for your wise knowledge

Only eat them every couple of days and 600mg should last you the month. Your tolerance will rise, but much slower than if you ate them every day. However after time you may find yourself going for the every day route; which is fun, but benzo addiction can be quite the bitch, and if you have a limited supply per month it is going to suck to run out early before you can get your refill.

60 is not nearly as many as you think... if it were me - I would catch your buzz, stop for a good day or so, then go back to it... if you can, wait more then one day - if done right you can enjoy a month of floating and not run out... still, given the long half-life of diazepam, you might find yourself not responding to 30mg after a week or so - in turn, you may have to either take more, or give yourself several days between use..
And while flattering, I am hardly the benzo king of this forum, others will be able to give better insight I am sure..

Thanks for the insights guys.
I'm a benzo novice so I really appreciate your sharing of knowledge.
I'll try to ration it out better from now on!
(btw, i ended up eating 60mg yesterday, 30mg at once, then 20mg later in the day, then 10mg to fall asleep...... i feel really poopy today, just generally crappy and no appetite..... any side effects i should be wary of? I dont plan on eating that many in one sitting anytime soon)

You took a large amount, and Valium has a long half-life, so you're simply feeling the effects of a large dose of benzos - take less next time ... I always enjoyed the feeling I got the day after taking a large benzo dose, very relaxed and 'soft' ..

See Phreex, thats what I was figuring too, that I should just feel mild and calmed and chilled out a bit today (given the long HL of valium) but instead I was mostly just back to my jittery stressed out self.
Of course, my mom telling me she's getting her second divorce and that I'm probably not going to be afford to go to college anymore didn't help either.
Blah.
Its so hard to resist the temptation just to try and wash it all away with drugs... but then, when 19 years of therapy hasnt helped, it seems like a decent option to try.
:-\
*trying to keep my chin up, and hands away from these nice orange bottles*
But ok, bottom line, how many hours/days do I need to wait before indulging again, purely to get the fun recreational effects out of it? (without upping dose, cuz I cant afford to go blowing too much $$ on these little blue guys...)

I think PreeX is spot on with saying they're most fun with at least a day or a couple in between. My fave combo is two drinks and 20mg, followed by a drink and 10mg every fifteen minutes twice, then 10mg every hour until sleep comes on. This of course depends on your benzo and alcohol tolerance - I've known people who would take 60mg and four stiff drinks just to get relaxed but they were doing it to cope, not for fun...
Since you've brought up coping, I would suggest combining the Valium with some meditative slow, deep breathing, while letting whatever things are bothering you sit in your head, but just let them be, without focusing on them. Crikey that sound like new agey shite but it works for me.
Oh and one other warning, Valium and booze together are the only time I've experienced partial blackout, e.g. not remembering anything or much. Never on just one, only the combo, so make sure your setting is safe.
Cheers, Wink

Heh, speaking of blackouts...
as being a pledge of a fraternity, theres been PLENTY of nights where ive drank myself so silly that I wake up in a random place (or better, a random, attractive girl's room) with no idea how I got there or how to go about leaving....
Seems though, even with that one day of Valium enjoyment, it made shit REAL foggy. Like, I wouldnt remember a lot that happened unless someone EXPRESSLY told me it happened, then it would sorta come back to me. Even a few days later, I find myself asking 'did i tell you this or that the other day?'....
Kinda weird, but not terribly bothersome...
Reminds me of the movie 'Memento' (which is a must see if you haven't) where a guy has a mental condition where he has long term memories and conditioning, yet his short term memory only lasts about 5 to 8 minutes..... so to live his daily life he must write himself notes, take polaroids, and tatoo important information on himself...
I digress....
Heh, thanks for all the info.
I'll try to ration this stuff out (as is wise with most substances, right?)
Thanks and best wishes.

im meant to be getting 10 today but i was wondering how addictive they are? compared to whatever you think

Addiction to benzos usually occurs with prolonged daily use at higher-end dosages.

During an attemted detox a year or so ago,i ate a total of 90 10 mg valiums in 2 days.
Yes thats right,900mg diazepam in 48 hrs.
(im sure theres some people here who understand why)

Damn, this is a lot of fuss over Diazepam. I remember looking in the PDR for Valium some time ago and the LD50 is something like 700 some odd mg / kg of body weight. An unimaginably high dose to kill. I still couldn't imagine taking 90, though.
You're going to find, if you start to experimenting with other benzos that Valium is definately not the top one for amnesia. A good amount of Klonopin and a few others mixed with several drinks will leave you with a 12 hour hole in your memory.
And the title "Chasing a Valium High" sounds like an oxymoron. Personally, I think Valium is so weak that I coudn't imagine wanting to "chase the high".
Also, if you are just starting out in a frat this year, you proabably hooked yourself up with the best place to find other benzos. Trust me, there isn't a single place on a college campus that's better for scoring pills like Valium.
