Changing to COBENFY

Provider agreed to change psych med to cobenfy. When asked why I want to change I did not say so I can trip.

Provider was fascinated by how cobenfy works as opposed to classic antipsychotics medicine. COBENFY is not classified as an antipsychotic.

So many rules and regulations. Provider called in prescription to pharmacy, then my insurance had to approve to pay for prescription, then my provider had to authorize she prescribed the prescription. My provider is who prescribed the prescription in the first place.

The original instructions for dosage consisted of 2 days lowered dose 50/20 mg then titrate up to 100/20 mg twice daily. Too aggressive titration for me, extreme nausea, and vomiting. Stopped taking to get out of system for 3 days. Started single am doses no pm doses, no problem,

Provider called in new script for 50/20 dose 2 x day. Pharmacy stalled, will be ready soon. Called pharmacy, woman said need prior authorization, I called my provider again to talk to pharmacy. Turned out script did not need prior authorization pharmacy failed to send request to have drug delivered to pharmacy. Such bull shit! Around and around we go meanwhile it is a good thing I am able to take 1 capsule of the higher dose while the pharmacy gets their act together.

I am hoping to get early access to cobenfy here in Norway through something called compassionate use as it has not gotten approved by EMA as of yet

Hopefully cobenfy gets approved and my therapist agrees with switching from abilify to cobenfy for me

Update on cobenfy, had an allergic reaction. Gastric and stomach pain, stopped taking cobenfy went back on Vraylar temporarily, was able to stop taking all antidepressants and antipsychotics, perhaps by taking Metocin unscheduled psychedelic similar in experience to psilocybin.
I do not claim Metocin is completely responsible for my ability to stop taking these medications, however, coincidentally, I no longer need these types of medications.

Im still interested in cobenfy but its not even aproved in Canada yet. I dont intend to stop taking antipsychotics as i cant risk getting cotards syndrome and psychosis again. Would be nice to trip without taking a break though

I hear you. I've given up on tripping. The only reason I was interested in tripping before was for the intellectual value that is often associated with psychedelics. I knew at the time I was in a state of insightful thinking and as before in my youth psychedelics increased thought and creativity..
It has been over a year now since the onset of raised awareness which has come about naturally with a little from psychedelics without tripping per se. However psychedelics were used nonetheless even if I didn't trip I still benefitted from them.
