Cetostearyl alcohol in timerelease pills (DHC CONTINUS MSCONTIN)

hi I know this was discused a lot of time but I cant seem to find a solution to overcoming the timerelease effect on DHC continus 60mg Mundipharma pills now I have done a little bit of research myself and found out that the timerelease compounds are mainly Cetostearyl alcohol and Hydroxyethyl cellulose I found out that the melting point of dihydrocodeine is 112.5 °C which is pretty high and the melting point of Cetostearyl alcohol is 48-56 °C pls can anyone tell me if I can put crushed pills of DHC in hot water arround 80 - 90 °C will this be the final solution to the timerelease problem in these pills ? thank you for your replys

Don’t forget to shake.

If you don’t shake you will not fully seperate the dhc from the time release and heat.

Heat, dissolve, shake, let cool, dhc in water, other shit settles.


I’m not sure if it is actually this easy though...

thnx Il try the shaking today I have my last sweet 360mgs but I can tell you that 2 days ago I took 180mgs with almost boiling water not boiling but hot I stirred it a little bit and i could see little beads of cetostearyl alcohol floating on the surface so I just filtered that and driank it with a little honey lemon juice and tea and it wasnt as awfull tasting as I thought although I did taste the the weird taste of opiates. Anyway I was high in about 20 minutes and it hit me pretty good for 180mgs of DHC

That means it has worked the way you wanted.

I wish i could tell you if i found out about solvents you could have used. You could have a pure product with enough pills.

I know I am a pharmacist student but I dont have access to chemicals for example for A/B extraction and Iam affraid to work with acetone and stuff like that you could easily poison yourself but with a little research if I had a steady supply of pills I would consider doing an extraction thnx for you help Iam trying to put together a bigger thread about diffrent kinds of timerelease patents and how to break them or how to extract any harmfull chemicals from your pills so that you ingest only the active part of the pill
