certain plants available in wa??

why is the ma huang plant so hard to find??? lol

I grew some Ephedra Sinesis a few years back. It lasted 3 years before it gave up on me.

Shops used to sell Ephedra Major around 10 years ago. Haven't seen it around for a long time now.

Yeah i have been looking everywhere but cant seem to find it anywhere. Some sites say that seeds pop up every now and then but ya have to be quick to get a hold of it.
Is it a hard plant to grow?
