Celexa was the first and only antidepressant I was ever put on.
I was going crazy with anxiety a few years ago. My doc wrote a script for 20mg celexa and .5mg klonopin three times a day. I moved up to 40mg celexa after one month.
I didn't really get any side effects and didn't think the celexa was working. Well after a few months all my mental troubles were gone and I no longer needed the klonopin. It worked great.
I thought I was good after a few months and decided to come off the celexa myself. Big mistake!!! For one I was feeling good because of the celexa. I went through weird celexa withdrawal. Aso I havent been the same since I have came off the celexa. Wish I would of stayed on it. Tried going back to it and it just doesn't wok like the first time.
Only side effects were weight gain, and some sexual side effects at first. Otherwise it did what it was supposed to do. It made me normal again.
