I was just put on it a few months ago. Can't really say I've noticed anything different.

Citalopram (celexa) is a mildish ssri. If you suffer from depression, anxiety (social/general) or have mild sleeping problems then it can work really well. Side effects are minimal, you might gain a little weight if you don't watch what you eat and you might feel a little off for the first few weeks but then its all good. Remember it can take up to 4 to 6 weeks to start to notice the positive effects from the medication. One little warning though, if after a week or so you start to feel REALLY good, very euphoric and bursting with energy go talk to you doctor. That's the first signs of mania, and ssris almost always cause an un-diagnosed bipolar person to go into full blown mania after just a few days of taking them. Good luck.
