I met Al Roker in a mall once, before he was famous.
I've also met Rick Springfield, Jack Hannah and Sum 41.

I know, I know. I'm one lucky bitch.

another time me and some friends were hanging outside a bar smoking a joint when steve poltz gave an impromptu street performance, since none of the 5 people that showed up to see him were old enough to go into the bar he played at. he gave my friend eddie a guitar pick and then kissed him.

If it's the same guy, my mom (yes... my freaking mother) has an autograph from him saying "Marilyn, I want you! Please marry me." Seems as though one of the local artists my mom is a groupie for (my mother is a fifty year old groupie for a kid younger than I am) was playing a show at a local bar and Steve was sitting in with this kid playing backup.

I once met David Bowie in New York while coming out of a Vietnamese noodle shop. I think I had chicken pad thai with dessicated onions. Not sure what Bowie had ordered, but whatever it was, it was probably other-worldly and superior. I also met the fella who used to play Sherlock Holmes in Piccadilly Station.

That is the extent of my celebrity contact.

lol was Irene that mad one who liked Neil Diamond and nobody else could get along with?. If so, she was one of my favourites too. I think I stopped watching after that series

As for myself I met Danny Carey from Tool after a concert and I saw Keanu Reeves play Hamlet (whoa something is rotten in the state of Denmark, excellent!). A friend saw Jeff Goldblum at a gallery opening a couple years ago. My cousin partied with the chick from the Distillers. Considering it's the great white north we don't get too many celebrities up here.

A couple of years ago now, for my girlfriend's birfday, a group of us were having dinner at an upmarket pizza place called Mr Wolf in St Kilda, Melbourne.

While eating our pizzas I saw someone who looked suspiciously famous so I asked my friend sitting opposite me to have a look and confirm if we were indeed having dinner in the same restaurant as Heath Ledger.

Soon our whole table (birfday group as you can imagine) were all talking about it. A waiter actually came over and asked my friend to stop looking at him! Apparently this was not long after his infamous paparazzi run-in in Sydney while shooting Candy so he might have been a little publicity shy.

Now whenever we talk about her birfday, I suggest to my g/f that I'll invite Heath Ledger again.

I was at a bank and I saw a guy who looked like "cheech". I was like you look like that guy and he was like "I get that all of the time I'm his cousin." He said he'd give me cheech's phone number to prove it but I didn't ask for it lol/

The guy was jumping up and down and looked just like him though. Maybe he was related.

I saw robin williams driving out the parking lot of tower records on sunset blvd. Right before I crossed he drove out. Actually he was the passenger. I'm glad i didn't meet him cause I was wasted and I really hate that guys act.
