Celebrity Encounters

Saw Hugo Weaving, Keanu Reeves, Lawrence Fishburne, Carrie Anne Moss and the Wachowski brothers onthe set.

At another time, Hugo Weaving and his fmily crossed an intersection right in front of my motorcycle.

I have met the guy who played boba fett and the guy who played chewbacca at star wars conventions.

I saw Tim Russ (star trek voyager) at a video game arcade.

I met John De Lancey(sp?) (Q from star trek and various film) at a comic book shop.

I've seen and met various australian actors on various sets, including the kid who played mouse in the matrix, who also appeared in Star Wars 2 and The Thin Red Line

I have photos with David Carradine and Marc Silvestri (comic book artist) , and have met Jim Lee, Travis Charist(sp?), Whilce Portacio, and many other superstars of the comic book artfrom.

I saw Jackie Chan at the opening of the now extinct Planet Hollywood Sydney, as well as others i don't remember.

As a croupier at Star City Casino, David Oldfield, the right hand man of Pauline Hanson, the controversial leader of the controversial One Nation political party, walked up to my table with a mate and a blonde bimbo. They were all blind drunk. Mr Oldfield and the bimbo left the Big Wheel tabel i was at and strolled towards the poker machines. The mate he was with said, and i quote, "Whadaya reckon, a thousand buck a night, ya think she's worth it?"

I saw Brett Ratner & Anthony Hopkins at a Q&A screening of Red Dragon

I saw Christopher Nolan at a Q&A screening of Insomnia

I saw Neil Gaiman and another well known graphic novelist at the sydney writing festival

oh the grand master of my sword school is very famous in some circles.

I've walked past Geoffrey Rush on the way home from work in Melbourne.

When my friend travelled to Canada she ran into at the airport.....brace yourselves......Richard Simmons.

She was eating a donut at the time and he said to her, "That's going straight to your thighs girlfriend."

Fucking awesome. I just saw him on Super Password (yeah, lame) and he's absolutely fantastic. I wish I could meet Mr. Simmons. I want to be his "non-out" fag-hag!
 
My dad his friend and I took some of the beach boys out on our sailboat for the day.
 
Met Will Smith and Paula Abdule staying at Four Seasons in Maui when I was a kiddo. Since then, not anyone real big. I met aceyalone after the concert and smoked a joint with him but thats 'bout it.
 
I smoked a j with Nickelback and kissed the cute dark haired guitarist. This was before they were famous and just did the bar circuit. (at least they are famous in Canada). I was wasted.:\
 
I met Jerome Kersey at an MC Hammer concert once.

Rowdy Roddy Piper used to eat at a restaurant I worked at, he was usually a prick because one of my coworkers thought it was incredibly funny to call him Bret Hart....

My friends have been luckier however and one of them has pictures of himself with Carmen Elektra and Ron Jeremy (2 different pix and both are G rated ;) ).

Oh I also met some pro golfer at 7-11, I have no idea who it was but he must have been good because my uncle almost pissed his pants when we met him.

I remembered a few more earlier today.

Back when I used to work in The London Dungeon, we used to get quite a few celebrities coming through expecting special treatment etc. One of those celebs was Johnny Depp, however, that was before I started working there. Typical eh? . So which lame celebs am I left to encounter?:

On one occasion Samantha Mumba turned up thinking she was something special and demanding she be let in before everyone else. We made her wait!. "Get back in your limo Mumba!" =D

On another occasion John Thompson came in with some blonde bimbo and got on the boat ride. He sat at the back with his hand down her top the whole time. "Nice".

Have actually had quite a few run ins.

1. I was in extra for the movie 'Highway' and met Selma Blair and Jared Leto.
2. Got to go to a private Placebo show and hung out with the band afterwards.
3. The owner of a record label I worked for is really good friends with Sirmixalot and we would smoke fatties and babysit the owner's toddler.
4. Saw THE Tom Jones at a restaurant near my house.
5. One of the bands on the record label I worked for go to go on tour with Danzig, and the tour was organized by Sharon Osbourne, so got to meet all of them.
6. And then as far as being a notorious person goes, I saw Patsy Ramsey (Jonbenet's mother) at the Phoenix airport one time.
 
ah yes. The guys in Modest Mouse grew up and went to high school in a suburban town right next to my suburban town, so I used to go to parties that they would be at and btw Isaac Brock is an asshole.

I check Em Bryant (former NBA basketball star, member of the champion 69 Celtics team) into the gym I work at just about every day. His wife works at the physical therapy place next door. He's one of the nicest guys that works out there.
 
I almost walked directly into Josh Homme from Kyuss/Queens of the Stone Age at a bar in Denver. He was coming out of a doorway as I was going in. I said SHIT!! and he made a face at me and continued through. Nick Oliveri their former bassist was there as well.
