So some people are going to camp out on Wall Street next month and some other people are going to stock up on survival supplies for the forthcoming apocalypse.

I'm doing both thoughSo some people are going to camp out on Wall Street next month and some other people are going to stock up on survival supplies for the forthcoming apocalypse.
The headline on my local newspaper yesterday read "Police cracking down on Jaywalkers".... I shit you not.
state law uniform throughout texas... Not a bad law at all imo. imagine an ambulance situation would be bad with an intersection completely blocked by some jerkoff...My city has a law against blocking intersections. As in, during rush hour, entering an intersection even though traffic is backed up to it. The law was created rather recently. I've never seen it enforced. As laws go, it's not a bad idea, since it penalizes idiots who decide to block an intersection by entering it even though traffic is going nowhere.

It just pisses me off when some jackoff enters an intersection, can't exit it, then blocks orthogonal traffic when the light changes.
I have no problem with this, if it is concerning jaywalkers that screw up the traffic flow, as long as it includes an equal intensity crackdown on dumb drivers.

That's kind of typical though of governments to do though, right? Unfortunately...They are ignoring the real problems in and focusing on what is profitable for them.
I live in a relatively rural area. Jaywalking is not a problem in the slightest. It frustrates me when I drive to work on the other side of town and rarely if ever see a single cop over there, where all the real gangs/violent crime/drug labs ect are. Yet on the nice side of town every corner has a motorcycle cop writing tickets for people going 5mph over the limit. They are ignoring the real problems in and focusing on what is profitable for them.

When they enter the intersection, is the light green?
Nothing more frustrating than not being able to enter an intersection on your turn, and having to wait for an entire new light cycle just to let congestion (maybe) clear up. All the while, the people behind you are honking and giving you the finger.
Going to school and working a low paying job trying to survive.^ what are you doing about it?
