We have people joining now just to post political rhetoric and not contribute anywhere else on the site. BL is primarily a harm reduction site, while CEP is a community sub within that umbrella. We feel the need to provide this barrier to entry to CEP to prevent political actors from being drawn here just to be combative, without contributing to BL as a whole. Hiding CEP from GLers means it's also hidden from google. This is not a politics site, it's an HR site where some people talk politics in CEP.
Furthermore, because politics can get heated and some can be very married to their opinions, some take infractions and bans very personally and create alt accounts to come back and fight for their political cause. The post limit makes it harder to have revolving door accounts in CEP.
