I once made a bong not dissimilar to the multiple perc water bottle bong. it only consisted of one percolator inbetween two 2 liter Pepsi bottles, like so many other ghetto rigged smoking devices it had to be tossed after a short time.

nice i love ghetto fab bongs. There is so much that can be done with a drill, tape, and some plastic bottles. I want to make one like that glass skull bottle or that all ice one was pretty dope too.

On another note, I'm trying to learn to drive stick shift and that shit is a mother fuckin' BITCH, man. Not the driving part, but having access to a car to learn on. Shit's killin' me, and it's the only thing keeping me from taking a better job at work right now. Such a little obstacle, man, fuck.
 
Haha I had a problem accessing a 5-spd car to learn stick too, I ended up just buying a car and learning on my way home. It's not really hard to get working just takes a few weeks to master. And if you swap out to a half-weight flywheel and stiff clutch then lawd have mercy that takes a long time to master

Fuck yeah, man, it's difficult. I shelled out a couple hundred to take a basic 90-min one-on-one driving session (with a retired cop... lol, shit was funny, I had no idea until I hopped in the car and we started shootin' the shit.) It was basic and short as hell, and I can't spend that kind of bread every time I practice until I'm comfortable with it.

I'm trying to become a delivery driver, man. I already would qualify if I only was comfortable enough driving stick to pass a road test. Funny part is 75% of the vehicles in my center are automatic, but it's still mandatory to be good with a manual. Makes sense, just pisses me off I hadn't learned this shit earlier in life. The bigger hoop I'll be jumping through once I get this down is chillin' out with the weed-smoking. But shit, man, the money'll be good enough for me to do whatever the fuck I want to do, so I figure no problem-- hopefully...
 
i learned how to drive stick like thujone, the day that I drove my car home from buying it 2 hours away. I think i might have stalled it once or twice, but I still stall my car from time to time if I'm high enough haha.

if you're at all coordinated i'm sure you'll be able to do it. once you get the hang of it it's stupid easy. what helped me was a few tips from friends like feather the throttle as you ease the clutch out from a stop and once you start moving you don't need the clutch(always be as smooth as possible with the clutch tho)

It's simple to do, I just don't have the muscle memory for everything to go smoothly. Out of the ~90min I spent in traffic with one, I stalled 3 times. Twice I jumped from 2nd to 5th gear (woops, lol) and the other was my first red light in traffic with a manual.

In traffic was cake, really, just a little jumpy and I want to get smooth with my shifting before I get a job that could very well depend on my familiarity with a stick.


At first I was saving up to get a little beater to learn on, just like you guys are talking about. That was tough going, though, and I caught wind of a place that does 90-min sessions for way less than what it costs to get a car. I just hoped I could be a hero with the shit and learn in a single day. Wishful thinking, I guess..

a lot of those seemed to be made with some kind of glass drilling device. kind of makes it a moot point IMO. most people dont have access to something like that so plastic and a hot screwdrivers is the only choice to make the bong
 
wow #10 is made entirely of ice. gotta pass that around pretty fast i guess, laff. making your own glass bong is just a matter of sourcing the drill bit, shouldn't cost more than a bong would and you can make a bunch of glass bongs with it in the future so it's more of an investment cost.

However, please tell me that whatever that is that you are holding in your hand is the temporary replacement you made from stuff lying about and NOT the pipe that broke because otherwise you should have realised that you needed a new pipe some considerable time ago=D
 
In that case it is an excellent job.
Will you find choosing a new pipe difficult? seems a daft question I know but the last time I headed off to the local Headshop in search of a new pipe I was all excited and expecting to see so many that I liked that picking one from all the choice would be difficult but nope, in the end I had to take the least horrible one and be content. I accept that I was being a bit fussy along the lines of ooh, I would like the stem a bit longer and ooh, I would like the bowl a little smaller and hmm, can I get that in something other than a riot of primary colours but I didn't think I was that bad.
I still miss my first pipe, it wasn't particularly special but i have never properly replaced it, sigh...
 
haha you didn't even tighten it up. Fuckit. I used to make a tin foil pipe that'd withstand the apocalypse .
I don't miss coughing up grey loogies though
