I'd venture to say small-package handling since he seems like a recent hire and doesn't enjoy it very much, lol. Admin work at UPS or Fedex is probably some pretty legit work if you've got spot-on organizational skills, I would think.
 
^ nailed it. Small/large packages, truck unloading (night shift, thank god). It's part time work. I have a temp internship job as well, that one is a cubical job. It's a shit ton better... and pays a shit ton better, too. I used to work I.T. at a software company, now I'm doing more desk work and filing at another small software business.

I might snag an internship at an Amazon owned company, debugging robotic moving shelves. Basically, I'd be the guy insuring they never would have to hire another person again. Hurray, killing the labor market!

I'm just trying to fill my time before the Air Force gives me a call.
 
My son has been trying to get that part-time nightshift of loading the panel trucks. It's like 4 hrs nightly (from what I heard) & for the Southern USA, that's not bad. Sad, but true.
 
Yet another grow bust here in vegas... That's at least 4 in the last 2 months. Just last month there was one with 400 plants just down the street from my place.

This is depressing, why is this happening so much? Last year there were 138 busts in the valley.

Wow, 400 plants?! They must have been drawing some serious energy. I always wonder how those fly under the radar for more then a month or two. Even plane fly-bys can see that by heat unless they are wrapping their house in foil :P

Squid, I've worked AM shifts and PM shifts. They always start you at around 4 hours and move you up as you prove yourself. I think twilight shifts are 3AM to 7AM, but they always change your shift by ~30 minutes in either direction. PM shifts are longer, they start you at 5PM to 10PM. I'm doing 3:00PM to 10PM now when I do work there. I don't do twilight shifts anymore but it started 3:30AM to 7:00AM and ended at 2:30AM to 8:00AM. They don't want you to pass 6 hours, so they don't have to give you a lunch break. They'll basically do anything to avoid that, such as have you clock out and come back in an hour or two or for a PM shift the same day.

I have an interview tmrw for Radioshack as an in-home tech, the pay is really good and the hours are fantastic, so I probably won't be at fedex much longer. Three jobs would be one too many for me.

I also have a new addiction

With prohibition prices more people are turning to diesel generators these days. You can reduce your heat signature a bit by dumping the heat from air cooled hoods into water tanks with heat exchangers too, although I think in the US they need a warrant to use FLIR (don't quote me on that though).
 
Chainer - check out the 'Audiotool' plug in for google chrome. Its free and from the same producers of tone-matrix. You can use tone matrix as an instrument in a larger set up of sounds.
that in home tech job sounds pretty rad

I'mma check that plug in out. I use google chrome and thought the tone-matrix was awesome, I actually was thinking it would be so easy to lay down a funky track with it and fruityloops

i always loved that, it's like an extra paycheck. Also love jobs that won't let you work when you give your two week notice, and then they are legally required to pay you your scheduled hours even though they don't want you working them. I've had this happen at two retail jobs before.
