CCTV video of drunks at rail stations becomes viral safety campaign

YES, it's good not to drink and drive, but being drunk on public transport can be just as dangerous and one definitely should not mix alcohol with trains. Or escalators. Or pigeons ...
A video safety campaign by British Network Rail uses the real-life slapstick accidents of travelling drunks, captured on CCTV, to make the point that railway stations can be dangerous places for those who have drunk themselves well and truly off the rails.

And while the campaign uses the funny side of the legless boozer to get attention, it also gets terrifyingly real as one drunk stumbles across a platform, falls against a moving train and then plummets down on to the tracks. He survived, but can only have been centimetres from the moving carriage - and death.
Network Rail says 1600 people have been hurt in accidents at 17 British stations in just one year, may of the victims literally falling prey to their own over indulgence.
