CBD inhibits CYP2D6 or How I learned to use less opiates!

While this is interesting I don't think weed has such a significant effect on pain in combo with opiates because of mere cyp2d6 inhibition. While inhibition of that enzyme can increase duration and bioavailability of many opiates I'm going to bet weed and opiates for pain are effective because cannabinioids can also be pretty good painkillers by themselves.

This is just my experience but inhibition cyp2d6 never did much for me in regards to potentiating opiates.

I thought it was CYP3A4 that really wanted inhibiting?
 
^^ thanks both of you! I can always tell if something potentiated my opiate because I will feel virtually no pain in my neck and my eyes stay kind of pinned late into the evening. I learned that grapefruit juice (white) and cimetidine in tandem with a few mgs of methadone has the desired effect. I will report back on CBD as soon as I get some high cbd weed :) Cheers!
