Cause pupils to dilate

Does alcohol poisoning/overdose cause pupils to dilate?

My Boyfriend pupils dilate and are slow to react to light. Although I've heard pupils constrict with alcohol? No, there are no other drugs, illegal or prescribed, involved and I know that for a fact.
 
Most drugs cause the pupils to dilate (Mydrasis)

I believe alcohol is also one of them. Numerous things also affect pupils size & whatnot.

If you think someone has fatally overdosed you should call the ER.

If his eyes are barely responding then he's comatose.
