The last time I smoked weed, which was a few days ago, I couldn't move and I was going in and out of a stupor. Was this catatonia? How do I know/diagnose it? This is only semi-relevant, but I was having a panic attack, and I routinely feel depersonalized from smoking grass. Anyways, I don't think the fact that I was having a panic attack excludes the possibility that I was experiencing catatonia. Was it catatonia? I have a predisposition to schizophrenia, and I get paranoid delusions when I smoke pot. I know cannabis use puts you at risk for developing prodromal schizophrenia/psychosis. Usually I start to think my friends are plotting against me, which is an anecdote that may or may not be related.

I don't know about a catatonic state from cannabis but it clearly does not agree with you. I would suggest steering well clear of weed if you have a predisposition of schizophrenia & have paranoid delusions when smoking.

Pot is not for everyone unfortunately.

Non of us are doctors, so non of use could diagnose you with catatonia. The only way you could properly find out is speak to a doctor. By reading your discription of what happened it sounds like you could have experienced it, but catatonia is a state of neurogenic motor immobility according to google, which means it isnt an ongoing condition. I think what you really need to focus on is just the fact that pot causes you to have bad reactions, its pretty common, it just means you shouldnt smoke it.
