Cat rescuing a four-year-old boy being attacked by a dog

No Dan, it does deserve it's own thread... it's not as if we are inundated with threads like this.

That just made my day... Cats are the fucking bomb. :D

Terrible to think that a dog would actually just attack a kid randomly like that... the way it spotted him & went around the car. Not even like the kid was near him or drawing attention to himself. 8o

Fucking bitch deserved it, just look what she was doing to that poor cat.

I think she claims it was attacking her dog but so what?

No bias here... we used to have a dog too.

*EDIT* - just played right to the end & saw the cat going for the dog (again) LOL.

Ninja or what... the cat waited until the dog turned around & went after it. Same deal with the woman.

Yeah I think you showed me that link whilst I was high on aMT a bit ago. Very amusing.

The novelty wears off a bit once you realise it's all staged & the pets are trained. Still pretty funny.

This is some first class footage for anyone who doubts cats are as loyal as a dog. They aren't imo, but they're more loyal than most people give 'em credit for.

Dogs are terrified of cats - and with good reason cos they get battered every time. Nice to see kitty saving kiddy but aside from the kid-biting that stuff happens daily. My stepfather had an Alsation and she was the scariest, most aggressive dog you ever could see. Scared the crap out the rest of us - regularly pinned postmen to the wall and was a big fukker too so was right at face level when she did. She was a pussycat around pussycats though and would run a mile. Was a cat that used to sit on the back wall of the garden and the first time they met it was one lazy swipe of the claw and Tosh (the big scary dog) wouldn't even go into the garden if the cat was visible ever after.

Speaking of lazy swatting of creatures - I don't really do cat vids but in trying to find one that I can't find which did somewhat amuse me I found this and is a catlike as a cat can be.

Angry Snake vs Garfield

It's the first minute or so that gets me. There is a reason the phrase involves kewl kats. They really are.

I've had scarey fucking moments with both canine & feline agressors. Equal respect is due in some cases, in most cases dogs are far deadlier than cats. How often does a feline fatality make the news? A Moggy Murder? lol

fair enough.

... what about octopus, how'd you feel about being trapped in a sack with a lightly sauteed actupus? A big one.

If it was lightly sautéed I'd probably just eat it. If it were still alive I'd probably get stuck to it. Fascinating creatures are octopuses. During a period of heavy MXE/3-MeO-PCP (ab)use I became obsessed with them and was convinced they were key to understanding... something. I was all ready to go sign up for a course in marine biology. Having heard the unemployment rate of marine biologists it's probably for the best I didn't.

Can't find the octovid that first raised an eyebrow and encouraged me to seek out octodocs but this clip gives an idea.

Very intelligent creatures are octopuses. Invertebrates but with several brains (sort of - depends how you define a brain). Diffuse brains totally unlike vertebrates but still very clearly intelligent. Amazing things so they are. But probably not much fun to be stuck in a bag with. Unless sautéed, obviously.

I've been to Kruger Park... can't say I saw any of that going on.

How about being put in a sack with an Opossum. That ought to be entertaining.

I don't find them at all creepy. I don't like spidery things generally but despite the excess of legs and freakish movement they ain't no spider. They are amazing creatures. As are their near-relatives squid and cuttlefish. And I thought the former was only good battered and the latter good for bird nourishment. Amazing creatures so they are <3
