I looked at the Carpipramine indications, and one of its indications was to help with Opiate withdrawal.
On the same medical website I read that, I read that only a few substance are indicated for Opiate withdrawal: buprenorphine, methadone, clonidine, naltrexone, naloxone and carpipramine.

So my first question is: how carpipramine helps opiate withdrawal?

Then I looked a bit deeper to see what exactly is carpipramine: it seems to be a cross between a tricyclic antidepressant and a neuroleptic. Some sites say it's an antidepressant, some other sites say it's a neuroleptic, and some other say it's an anxiolytic....

So my second question is: how exactly carpipramine works, and what is it?

I think it might be it's alpha2 antagonism, like clonidine.

^^^Yeah, it's gotta be agonism, because the tricyclics block the norepinephrine transporter.
