I vote we archive some of Samadhi Smile's threads especially the ones created around spring 2006 since that is when a lot of love got shined down on PD forum![]()
Good idea. Spring 2006 was such a great time.I think this Spring can be just as good, or even better.
After work today we're headed to the local nursery to get stuff for the gardens... the more I work on gardening, the more inspired I am to do more. We just planted a banana pepper and a cayenne pepper plant, as well as some flowers that will grow to 4 feet high, and a garden of a variety of poppies. This evening I'll start growing my cacti as well. And since we live in a forest in the Appalachians, there are a huge variety of natural flowering trees and wildflowers that are springing up everywhere!
Just checkin' it to say HIGH... or hi. Whichever you prefer... %)
In other news, I've been producing music. Fuck yeah.![]()
Right now, I'm stuck with a psy track, really sweet bassline and nice drums, but lost for all else....
I just started planting my garden today also. I'm going to be growing Broccoli , Jalapeno Peppers , Green Bell Peppers , Banana Peppers, Beefsteak Tomato's , Cherry Tomato's , A Early Girl Hybrid Tomato , Squash , zucchini , cucumbers , Oregano , Parsley , Watermelons and maybe even some garlic. Gardening is such great hobby , this is most definitely my favorite time of the year. I'll take some picture's once everything starts getting a little bigger :D
FOTM so using a forest for a model rather than raised beds (since forests are the most mature and thus most diverse and balanced ecosystem in our area)- it allows for more diversity, more food, and more productivity. This works WAYYYY BETTER than intensive gardening where you constantly weed and go against the tao of nature.
