Does anyone know if it's safe to mix carisoprodol (soma) and tizanidine (zanaflex)? Are the effects enhanced by eachother?

As both are muscle relaxants and both directly depress the central nervous system you may find increased drowsiness and depressed breathing.

As always when mixing CNS depressants be cautious.

Tizanidine is a really dodgy drug. Significantly lowers bp and has little recreational value. It does synergise well with other cns depressants perhaps too well causing unwanted od which i had the displeasure of experiencing.

I was on carisprodal and can say its not very safe to mix with anything since the majority of the drug gets converted into methoprobamate once swallowed. It is because of this that I switched to Tizanidine although it is truely a more potent drug at a single 4 mg dose than SOMA it is safer to mix with other narcotics. Your drug combo is extremely dangerous and would highly suggest taking one or the other

Okay I just need to clear some shit up there is most definitely a recreational Value to tizanidine. No matter what anybody fucking says on here about everyone reacts different and whatnot that shit definitely has a recreational value.

I agree with Paintbll23601. This same argument, over unconfirmed recreational value, has been made thousands of times before. Most notably the people who argue over Tramadol. Anyway, I have personally witnessed veteran psychonaught nearly lose himself in laughter whilst on tizanidine. He thought there was no recreational value to it, but took a decent size dose to combat whatever he'd herniated. Within the hour he was just laughing having a good time, shaking his head, "when the hell did these ever do anything for anyone". So yeah, just be mindful about things like that. I can't imagine what would have happened if I haven't asked him to stay over for dinner that evening.
