ok, so i have a legitamate reason for going on soma (TMJ, sleep issues, and fibromyalgia), but i am not sure if the doc i go to will allow me to me on soma because of its recreational properties. even though im not going to abuse it, i still think the doc won;t prescribe me it.

is carisoprodol more recreational/addictive than benzos? i can't see it being that great yah know, and i feel like people are overexaggerating its potential. i mean, i was booting heroin whilst on temazepam, how could soma be worse than either one of those alone? how could soma be more recreational than temazepam?

i hope i get it because i do actually need it for pain and sleep/anxiety. i might ask for orphenadrine instead if i don't get it...

any other insight/advice/opinions/experiences on carisoprodol would be greatly appreciated..

thanks,
-lac

Carisoprodol is pretty recreational; more so than benzos IMO, but only when used occasionally, and especially when combined with opioids. Tolerance develops rapidly, and its recreational effects diminish very quickly. I don't remember it having a ceiling dose, but for whatever reason increasing dose size once a tolerance is established failes to produce the same effects as without a tolerance.

I doubt your doctor would prescribe it for fibromyalgia, but it could be beneficial.

Thanks for a response man. I probably will just ask for lyrica and orphenadrine instead

I know lolol I ended up just getting 300 mgs of lyrica a day and hydroxyzine at night which both of them will be kick ass wiyht xanax, dxm and weed lolol
