This doesn't make any sense. I find it hard to believe that you actually believe this as well....
hahahahaha, he's full of shit.

Yeah i might contribute to the social ills of society.... but you know what? its my choice =). Just keep hating.
but i feel its wrong to not take your god given gifts to the limit

^Don't make fun of the person for asking about the CFE, at least they didn't ask a question and then try to tell us how it is.
Its gonna take some ridiculous family connections to pay some one with an undergrad in accounting and your attitude 100k after three years.
Everyone gets an undergrad degree, it doesn't mean shit.
Growing dank weed isn't that hard, don't expect your success in that area to carry over to accounting. It takes a completely different skill set and level of work ethic. 6-8k grow isn't that much work compared to a big four accounting firm.
Given your writing ability its easy to tell aren't at a top accounting school like you claim. You're not fooling anyone.
There are smart people trying to give you advice about life after you asked for it. Money isn't going to do much for you. FYI you will have a difficult time getting accounting work paying more than 30k if you get caught growing pot.

Let's just assume you do have the best connections possible, and do land a 250K/year job doing something you hate for 60 hours a week.
Now what? Get really really high every day and soldier on through it?
How long can that go on?
If you're like me there is no just one "meal ticket" that's unique to anyone. Any skill can be learned, and no degree or job is out of reach.
Why settle on something you hate?
Oh and I am well aware that an ex-junkie can make it big. I'm not doubting you there.
i just did a quick google search for you. And I learned that more CEOs have accounting degrees than any other type of degree. So stay the course man!
100k and the term "new money" don't have much to do with each other.
Accounting is not a "hard" major, its glorified counting and I would know. It might be the toughest major in school of business, but it is a cakewalk compared to engineering etc...
Diversify your bonds!!!
Not an undergrad in accounting in 3 years i'll be CPA certified.
Growing large scale dank weed is pretty hard have you tried?
My writing ability on the internet? who am i trying to impress BLUELIGHT?
LOL bro. if you look at the undergrad accounting school rankings im in one of the top 2. my masters program is the top 3 for 2009.
So keep talking..... Im not trying to fool SHIT.
pft if I got caught growing pot. I would not return to accounting work. LOL.
the advise from some is good... Not that great from others... but it seems everyone has had their input.
Ahh, so you go to Northwestern University (Kellogg), University of Chicago (Booth), or University of Pennsylvania (Wharton)? Impressive.
If you are to be CPA certified in three years that means your almost done with your degree, maybe a semester or two left? Assuming your getting your CPA in one of the uni mentioned you'll of course need the hours and public experience to be certified. Unless you have already been working in public for a while.
That's great, those are some good schools, you wouldn't need any family connections if you had a grad degree from any of those, congratulations.
Also once I get my weed set-up it's definitely not gonna be large scale. I'm gonna have just enough so I have a constant supply of homegrown for myself and my wife, and maybe a little left over to bounce a few zips off over to my close friends, and nothing more.
That's the way to do it IMO.
ALso OP do you read Timothy Ferriss by any chance?
Which ranking system are you refering to? US NEWS? I only trust those for law school rankings I'm talking about the "annual professor survey"
I have 3 semesters left including this one. I do have public experience starting after thsi semester for 2 summers including various (family hookup) accounting work since I was about 12 years old. My GPA is alright compared to those with my class but as I said. Nothing special just average.
sorry but you are wrong, you always need family connections schools only go so far and My law school will probably be one of those but starting salary median for the top 50% of the class is 160k only 60k higher with 3 years of schooling and the BAR exam... Im trying to decide if its worth it or just to enter accounting and make money those 3 years opportunity costs and shit ya know? well I have to get my masters so I guess its an extra 2 years.
Schools are bullshit. I'm not a great student. I'm not studious enough. I'm just trying to get rich, im not trying to follow rules, nor go be a partner at the big 4 like many of my colleagues expectations
12 years old, you must be quite the prodigy.
Tim Ferriss has a good book about the "New Rich" and how using innovative ideas you can drastically cut your work-load and increase productivity. Granted you still have to do some heavy work loads when just starting out. I think that might be unavoidable.
It's misleadingly called "The 4-Hour Work Week" and a lot of the ideas in it seem like they would appeal to you. Some of the stuff in it is excessive and pointless, but the general attitude of the book is pretty good for someone who wants to live large, making money, and not do too much work. It's a really quick read, if nothing else.
