Care to compare the Jesus you know to the one I know?

How do you know this is not just a Christian myth and nothing to do with the real Jesus?

Well, of course I don't know that. I fail to see your point even slightly here TBH.

FWIW, I absolutely do not believe that jesus was divine or anything but human all the way through (and I do accept that he did exist in one form or another) so I am convinced that this sort of story is completely mythical.

Know when to give up. I think anyone with half a soul can see I'm a better spiritual teacher than you

Yeah, you've said that before, including to me. If you are a great spiritual teacher why do you never engage with actual topics but rather focus on attacking people? I read you complaining about being judged and yet you are one of the most consistent judgers of people behind the posts as opposed to judging their content.

Goodness dude, you're such a Debbie Downer "like a party crasher." Anyone can sit around and pick apart the negatives. That's a negative in your mind by the way.

Take some xanax, drink a beer & relax buddy.

I'm trying to picture myself going on a Buddhism or Hinduism forum & bashing their philosophy. It's just don't my style.

Be a man of peace & acceptance.

You're emotions are going to get the best of you. It's like a cancer.

Compare what you see in post 17 with what you know of what Buddhism or Hinduism does and opine on which traditions are doing more damage to society.

And then sit back down and tell us again why we should just accept the vile religions that you see doing that damage.

I haven't said I'm "a better spiritual teacher than you" and I don't agree with the judging part.

I've only indicated your atheist/sceptic's views aren't that suited for this board, at least if it's just to question spiritual themes or threads, as they should also have their place here, or otherwise what's the point. Though it seems like the topic comes more naturally to me, but we all have our specialities, no need to be so sensitive and feel "attacked" because of it.

I DID, on the other hand, say I think I'm a better spiritual teacher than him, as he's been setting himself up as some great guru in his dogmatic threads, without really saying anything that anyone seems to find much value in.

Anyway, you two are the only ones I've directly criticised, and I usually stay on topic. And how many topics have I actually brought up on this board without trying to get into conflicts with anyone? On the contrary, I tend to focus obsessively on the topic and disragard any objections.

But of course if you are an anti-spiritualist, which you're free to be of your own choice, you would find them all worthless.

GB, if all you can do is hurl personal insults, then copy and paste things you've repeated dozens of times that we've all ready been over, I'll politely check out.

Best wishes. <3

Please and take those of faith with you.

Faith v/s Reason

Faith is a way for you toquit using your "God given" power of Reason and Logic, so you willbelieve doctrines that moral men reject as immoral.

The God of the OT says...“Comenow, and let us reason together,” [Isaiah 1:18]

How can you reason with Godwhen you throw away reason?

Religions, especiallyChristianity reply.

“Faith must trample underfoot all reason, sense, and understanding.”
“Reason is a whore, thegreatest enemy that faith has.”
Martin Luther “

This puts the rest of us in aposition where reasoning with theist becomes impossible.

It is useless to attempt toreason a man out of a thing he was never reasoned into.
Jonathan Swift

Literalism is an evil practicethat hides the true messages of myths. We cannot show our friends that they arewrong through their faith colored glasses. Their faith also plugs their ears.

Agreed tromps, I sense from GB and all the confident pronouncements he makes that he would dearly love to have his own band of adoring disciples surrounding him, agreeing with every invective pronouncement he makes. For your information GB, and I hope for your good, I have spent some time reviewing your threads and approximately 80% of them concentrate on vilifying the God of the Bible. Such vindictive and deeply emotional fervour must surely exact its toll on you. Why not try to debate instead of slay?

^I would agree that excessive negativity is not great for a person. But I also think that Gnostic bishop is not technically vilifying the thing you say he is, anymore then one can vilify anything that one does not hold to be real or true. I don't think my statement "flying giraffes fucking suck" has any real meaning, for example.

I have a friend with a similarly borderline militant anti-Christian but more atheist persuasion. He is adamant that Christianity has wrought huge evil and harm on our world and thinks of it as a true abomination and believes it should be dismantled. I don't agree, but his arguments revolve around the legacy of cultural repression and destruction, hypocrisy, self-oppression and suffering that he thinks Christianity has inspired. In the face of that belief, some people do not get emotionally overwrought when discussing their beliefs, as they tend to be dispassionate and calculated and convinced of their position. I know that arguing with my friend on this matter is pointless.

More than happy to do so but Christians do not debate well.

They have a hard time justifying a theology that begins with human sacrifice and the notion that they should profit from the punishment of the innocent instead of the guilty.

I do have a two pronged agenda of pushing Gnostic Christianity as well as showing the immorality I see in Christianity. I can control that though.

Care to debate? I
can be quite civil if you watch the words you use.

Shall we show these people how it is done?

It is all about POV.

As a Gnostic Christian, I have to look at Christianity as the cult that decimated my founders and burned our scriptures. I also see them as creating the Dark Ages and the Inquisition so I cannot have any love for Christianity.

I can try to express my love to Christians through criticism but they do not accept it for what it is even though it is biblically based.
Proverbs3:12
For whomthe Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

They see hate in correction and not the intended love because they do not know how to love in the biblical sense ands I do not mean physical.
