Does anyone have any experience being prescribed with this as a taper/cold turkey drug to take to withdrawal from benzos?

From Wikipedia:

"As a drug that induces cytochrome P450 enzymes, it accelerates elimination of many benzodiazepines and decreases their action."

Would this make a cold turkey WD recovery from symptoms faster? (while also probably intensifying it)
It's an anticonvulsant which which make it logical for a benzo wd

Does anyone have any experience with this drug? I wanted to ask my doctor about it.

Thanks

From what i remember it's just an anticonvulsant lacking much of the cns effects of benzos. Should just make your taper safer really.

carbamazepine acts on GABA in some way, but i don't remember exactly how. and yes it's an anticonvulsant, which is always a good thing to take during gabaergic withdrawal. supposedly it with alcohol WD, and i've taken it when i had nothing else around to very little effect.
