I can't PM someone because their inbox is full, am I allowed to post in a thread telling them to delete some messages or something? How can I contact said person if they don't even know I'm trying? It seems like it would be frowned upon to post that in a thread, not sure what else to do though.

Seriously BL, you're amazing and I really appreciate all the hard work the mods/admin do on a daily basis. I would REALLY like to talk to someone about a Bluelight Plus or something where you pay a few bucks a month for some added privileges (Unlimited inbox for example). I think a lot of people would be on board and it could generate some revenue for site maintenance, expanded servers, ect.

I just thought of this the other day cause I have tried to reach so many newbs I took under my wing after their box was filled and I was unable to reach most of them so they just left bluelight thinking I never messaged them back but now I find out theres a notification that pops up. did this just start?
I think a lot of people make a new email address specificly for their BL account to avoid junk mail and people finding out their name

Exactly, which means they'll probably never see my message saying I sent them a message...

Whenever I PM a 'greenlighter' that I think I will have some further correspondence with I always mention to them that they have a very limited number of PMs that they can have stored at a given time, and so I tell them to delete any PMs that they don't need anymore, and/or to download them into a folder offline. I suggest you do the same.

However, this doesn't help your situation since it's too late to do that, and so I suggest that you check if they have an email address linked to their profile that you can try contacting them through, or otherwise be patient and hope that they delete some PM's soon to create some space for your PM.

It's definitely frowned upon to post after them in a thread telling them to clear some space for you in their inbox, but it technically doesn't break any rules. Mods & Members would me more forgiving of this type of behavior of you were to mention it in a post where you first contribute something to the discussion, so that's something to keep in mind.

By the way, 'StickyChron' clear some inbox space so I can PM you!
Not really, just giving you an example of what I mean.

sometimes you cant find the person on forums cause most greenlighters take a while to figure out the site and how to browse forums ive never been able to get ones attention before. I too try to tell them to keep their space cleared as I may not be able to message you back making you think im just ignoring you but most times they message me with a question and I cant even send one message back cause its already filled up so I can never answer their question which is a pain as we end up losing that member forever. that's why I thought it would be good to raise the amount of messages to say 10 or so something more reasonable or have something pop up on bluelight itself a notification saying to empty your inbox to receive another message. I don't know could this happen? I cant see anything wrong with greenlighters being able to hold a few more messages myself but I don't know there must be a reason for that restriction.
