cannabutter question

I am finally going to be making cannabutter this weekend, one question I have is whether or not I should toss all of my stems in it along with the 7 grams of grass. Most of them do have visible THC crystals on them and left over bits of bud so I don't want to waste anything.

My main concern is that I know stems have a very woody flavor, is this going to carry over into the butter and make it taste like stems?

(mods, feel free to move to an appropriate thread, couldn't find one)

Definately chuck the stems in. Canna butter never tastes great anyway although you can mask the taste in recipies.

yeah use it all!

i shoot for 5-7g's per 4oz's. add a couple drops of pure vanilla extract also while making the butter, its worth it, and it may add an extra hint of flavor to help balance out any possible taste from the stem.

but this may be closed...

If you don't really care about the taste of the final product, then adding the stems, etc, will make it more potent (maybe not by much, but by some amount). The longer you simmer your butter for will also make the taste more of a green (kind of bad) taste, but may serve to make the butter more potent as well.

question for anyone that has done it, what is the optimal boiling time in the butter process? I've read many varying things but can't come to anything conclusive

i would if i could - lol j/k.

i like dream bars w/ cannabutter -
you dont have to heat anything either, after making the butter.

What are dream bars? Are those Rice Krispie treats made with cannabutter? How much butter do you usually use to make them if you don't want to get so high to the point where you can't move and it's not fun?

grahm-cracker-crust crust w/ coconut, condensed milk, and chacolate chips.
use the condensed milk 50/50 or 60/40 with butter, add 2 drops of pure vanilla extract mid way through making the butter.

Just made my butter and everything went pretty well. Letting it cool over night and will give it a try in the morning.
