entire reality in flux?

well im going to describe what weed does to me when i sit and close my eyes and am alone... my history of drug use is some alcohol, some dxm, lots of morning glory (whenever i try a new drug it affects my next weed experiences)... i want to know if this is normal (ive never read anything like it about weed) or if this is a unique reaction... im pretty sure its not laced because a lot of people have smoked from the same stuff, some experienced some not, and they experience a normal high

i wrote the description a few days after teh high

the affects get much heavier when I close my eyes. My sense of position becomes whacky, I can tumble forward or fall up or spin northwest. My head can feel as if its expanding or raising. I see patterns across my vision field, for example little red inkblots scattered on black, wavy blue dots forming a donut shape, etc.

If I stay in this state for several minutes, the affects begin to multiply, getting more and more intense. My entire body and consiousness starts being blasted, faster and faster. Usually at this point I open my eyes and I’m back in reality. Sometimes I continue with it, and after about 30 seconds of body-blasting, I break through to a new level.

Now my consiousness is even more chaotic. An unidentifiable input to my consiousness becomes a triangle, I see 3d gears working, I’m getting much more visual input from my memory, my vision field becomes chaotic and I’m still spinning everywhere. Now every second is a body and mind blast.

I haven’t reached any levels even deeper than that, however. Usually after several minutes in this level I open my eyes.

Cannabis for me is friendly. I can break through to a deeper level if I want to, or I can snap back into reality whenever I want to by simply opening my eyes.

I've felt similiar (though I'd say less intense) feelings like this using weed, though it reminds me more strongly of a mild mushroom mindtrip.

I hope you enjoy it while it lasts, as your tolerance goes up with use I'm sure you'll start to feel this less and less. Go easy on the cannabis:)

You're not alone, I, along with a few of my friends experience similar things when smoking days, and sometimes weeks after tripping. I tend to think of it as your consciousness has reached a certain level, and you have opened certain doors of perception through your psychedelic (or other) experiences, and these doors stay open generally indefinately (one hopes). Since you have just recently become accustomed to these certain states of altered consciousness you find it easier to journey back to those same strange vistas of mind and perceptions when either, sober, meditating, or in some similar states of altered consciousness induced through drug use.

^^^ I find this to be absolutely true as well. For about three weed experiences after any trip I take I will get similar effects as the trip from the weed alone. I have often described this as weed allowing me to peek back into the window of the world i previously inhabited. ooo weed is good. but yeah, take 'er easy and she'll love you forever

you should try keeping a journal or pens and paper on you when you get stoned and try to document the experience (or get creative, whatever suits you :D), it'll make good WTF moments for the next day and serve as a tool for memory
