Cannabis and joint pain?

I smoke pretty regularly, one or two joints of good quality weed a day, and I have noticed that when I smoke many times my joints feel much more fragile than when I do not smoke. My knees, particularly, seem to be much stiffer and I generally have to keep stretching them out if I stand for long periods of time or exercise. On one hand, weed makes exercise more fun and intense for me, but this joint pain really can be limiting and seems like it might be damaging in the long run.

What I'm wondering is mainly if others have had any similar experiences? I haven't found any real relevant information from searching a bit. On one hand, I feel like it's marijuana-induced, and on the other, smoke-induced. Has anyone had this issue from smoking but not get it from eating marijuana? Conversely, has anyone gotten this from eating marijuana in itself? I know at least one other regular smoker who has knee pains, and I want to know how prevalent this is, and also a bit of science behind why it happens.

Thanks for all replies.

i was the opposite. could not exercise at all when high but marijuana would usually relieve any sort of joint pain for me.

MJ takes care of the server joint discomfort in my mouth while I'm peaking... The comedown, the pain comes back.

I honestly think you may be stoned and your body feels differently to you while you work out. I can't workout high because my intensity is dropped and I regularly forget to do a set. I have a 5 day split and I can tell you I hit every part of my body, and it all gets soar as shit.... Weed makes the pain go away. I'm not sure, maybe you are smoking a strain which could exaggerate the joint pain you may have already? In either case, I have yet to experience anything like this, though I try to avoid working out high, and smoking up afterwards instead.

I have had two types of joint problems:

1. Arthritis
2. a bad knee from sports.

As a daily cannabis consumer, my arthritis is negligent (cannabis actually relieves 90% of the pain) and my bad knee acts up only when I stress it physically.

I'd say you are should stretch before you do physical activity. Cannabis isn't going to hurt your joints much if at all.
