I'm just at the end of yet another bout of extreme vomiting illness that hits me over and over year in year out for the past 20 years.

Finally a diagnosis that makes sense: Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome

I'll share all worthy links at the end of my post, but basically I would like to say that if you get really sick from time to time, and you are quite a heavy marijuana user please have a read. Specifically, if sitting in the shower for hours on end is the only thing you can do for relief, then this is most likely the cause of your illness also.

I'm reluctantly giving up the weed.. not because I don't enjoy it anymore, but because it's making me sick unfortunately. :p

Excellent sources of information here:

I hope this helps anyone who was suffering as I was doing nothing but vomiting bile for days and days on end with no sign of improvement other than laying in the bottom of the shower to get the slightest relief.

Very interesting, I get exactly the same thing a few times a year, I always end up in hospital from it. I do the shower thing too, it is the only thing that relieves it. I had no idea it is possibly related to weed, cannabis always gets rid of the lingering nausea for me after the first few days of an attack.

It always seems to happen to me a few days after I run out of weed, so I always put it down to the anxiety caused by running out.

I am going to do a lot of reading on this now, thanks for bringing it to my attention. I could never quit weed for life so it is something I am going to have to live with.

^if you get nauseous when you run out of weed i don't think it's the anxiety or sickness, it's a very common effect of withdrawal. If you find cannabis helps you eat and enjoy food then it's hardly surprising that you or most people feel sick when you don't have it. The solution for you is not to run out :)

i've read of other people having the same experience, it was something to do with getting high before bed. My gf also gets sick most mornings for months at a time and for her this may be what's happening; i smoke just as much as her but don't have any issues with nausea.

Yeah, I have came to the conclusion that my illness is Cyclic vomiting syndrome

The symptoms sound nearly identical to the Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome. and it makes more sense in my case since it only happens when I have no weed.

Sorry to go off topic, was just pointing out that Cyclic vomiting syndrome is basically the same, maybe doctors are taking the easy way out and blaming it on the weed.

UTSE please, we have had many threads titled almost exactly like this, with the same articles and more posted.

Thanks
