Can you take tramadol the day after taking methadone?

I read that methadone & tramadol should not be mixed, but would it be ok to take tramadol the day after?
I know methadone can last quite awhile so I was curious.
I only took 20mg of methadone, but it was also my first time using it.

Yeah, I to my knowledge it's safe, unless prone to seizures. However, if you were regularly using methadone (or any opiates) as well, the Tramadol might contribute to or even produce withdrawal symptoms. From what I've read anyway; I've never taken them together myself.

I think they are asking about whether or not there has been sufficient time since taking the methadone in order to be safe from the additive effects of taking tramadol (another opioid) while methadone is still in the system. I would advise a lower than usual dose of the tramadol, since methadone can last a really long time.
