I'm in Ontario specifically. I have been buying the 8mg codeine/300mg APAP/ 15mg caffeine pills over the counter for a while now. I understand from reading on here that aspirin is a lot easier to deal with in a cold water extraction than APAP/Tylenol. Does anyone know if you can still get the aspirin ones in Ontario?

No idea about aspirin, but CWE takes out the tylenol very well. Not sure where you saw that aspirin works better, but I can say from personal experience that CWE takes care of the tylenol, even at high (400mg) doses. Plenty of people on this board use CWE for tylenol/codeine.

You can buy codine and aspirin in Canada ... I think they used to be referred to by the name 222's/ My understanding is that they are easier to Cold Water Extract and offer a safer alternative to those containing Tylenol.

Milligram for Milligram, my thought is Aspirin is LESS Dangerous then Tylenol (which is the number one prescription drug that people overdose on - Yes, WAY more than on Oxycontin)

WalMart sounds like a good starting point

That is true in my opinion too, but Aspirin seems to work well .. Check Erowid there is more info there too ... I will look for a link

It would make sense that you can, although they are way less popular, so it depends maybe where you live.

Have you thought about calling the pharmacy and asking?

YES, they do have it. When you ask for the 222's dont ask for 222's. Ask for
codeine and aspirin. or
codeine and acetaminophen, or
codeine and ibuprofen.
They have it all.

Thanks getreal.

I just called the Walmart pharmacy and they do carry aspirin and codeine tablets, both brand name and generic.

Good evening. My name is Johnny 5 Eagles. I am on this site as I have chronic phantom limb pain. Narcotics have ceased working for me and I developed Opiate Induced Hyperalgesia. This means that when I take a narcotic for pain I develop worse pain and the drugs make me very sick. Almost as bad as an accidental Narcan overdose. Anyhow please allow me to answer that question as I have had to use this method many times when I did use narcotics for the pain relief. The form it is available is AC&C. They usually come in the 375mg Acetylsalicylic Acid (Aspirin-TM), 15 mg caffeine and 8 mg of codeine phosphate. I have found that most brands contain this formulation. The best brand is Wampole AC&C with a slightly lower amount of aspirin at 5 grains or 325mg and the caffeine is a monohydrate. This usually means that the caffeine is in a salt that does not dissolve in water as easily as other salts of caffeine. For instance in Canada, Frosst makes 222's, 282's and 292's. Problem: contains 15mg of caffeine citrate. Very soluble in water. So you will get profound jitters. Stick to most brands of AC&C, but avoid 222's etc. Very expensive too. For example. If you buy the AC&C at Walmart or Zellers the price on 100 Tablets is <price removed - very cheap>. Sometimes you can get 200 size for <very cheap>. Dude or dudette I have been using this technique for 30 years. Problem #2. I usually start at around 40 Tabs to get 320 mg of codeine phosphate. And believe me that you get most of the codeine. At room temperature one can dissolve over 1100 mg of codeine phosphate in 1 ml of water. Yeah it is a lot. Physiologically speaking the codeine can interfere with the capability of our kidneys to filter out materials and exchange water as waste. I remember that from when I studied biochem. I hope this helps.

They are called AC&C (Aspirin, Caffeine, Codeine). AC&C's are much easier and much faster to filter than Tylenol #1s are. The solution is also usually a lot clearer as well. Hope this helps.

Hi Johnny 5 Eagles, welcome to Bluelight :)
Just so you know, I removed the prices from your post as we actually don't allow posting of drug prices, even for legal drugs.

Also this thread is over 2 years old so I don't think the original poster is still reading it. In this forum - Basic Drug Discussion - we have a lot of new threads and usually try to discourage bumping of old threads, but your post was informative so thanks. Maybe you could check out the newer posts and see if you know any answers? And if you like, look around the forums to see if anyone has any advice on what you're going through. There is a chronic pain thread for example.

I think this thread has been well-answered so I'm going to close it. Please PM me if you have any questions.
