Can you request samples of a drug you don't take?

I am currently prescribed benzos from my psychiatrist. I have been on them for a little less than a year. I would like to try adderall but it is a completely different type of medication compared to a benzodiazepine. Can you ask for a sample of adderall? Would they be allowed to do that?

They wouldnt even have samples anyway. Its available generically and the pharma companies usually stop handing out samples when they lose exclusivity. Plus its a C-II in the USA which I think prohibits companies from giving out samples but I forget if that is 100% true.

Samples? No, however if your doctor feels adderall is right for you they will typically give you a script with no refills and ask you to follow up when the medication is gone. From there you guys discuss whether or not the medication is jiving well with you. This was how I got my ambien script. You have to have a legitimate ailment that would be solved by the adderall though, obviously.

Hey doc I know Im not prescribed it but may I please try a sample of some of that pharmaceutical cocaine,a dash of some IV dilaudids, and what the hell throw in a sample of that cindy 99 medical mj,lol!!!!!!!!!!! Not many people would be sober if it was that easy.

if you find someone, please let them know I need to sample tons and tons of pain killers. just a sample, tho.. I am not addicted.

You can currently order things like modafinil (okay, no real use for me but many like it) or isopropylphenidate (way better than Ritalin) up to 2-fluoromethamphetamine (a calmer version of meth) straight off the internet and depending on where you live, completely legal.

Also there are very interesting and truly genius developments from the nootropic folks. Especially the Russian things like Semax, Bromantane etc. (these are actually approved medicines there!)

Just use your common sense and do your research & homework before. We don't need any more drug related accidents. ;)

Modafinil is a C-IV, so not legal. You may be thinking of Adrafinil, which is a pro-drug that metabolizes into modafinil. That one is legal.
