Hey guys,
Just got a quick question today. I've been prescribed x2 200mg a day tramadol for about 4 months now, and have just started a new part time job and as such and am finding that my current dose is not enough. I am very sore and tired when at work or at home 24/7 plus I suffer from severe heacaches every day, and on top of my tramadol I also take up to 8+ panafene plus with codiene every day and am still in pain. Am currently in the process of trying to go onto strong medication such as oxy contin or kapanol that I won't need to take so much of. However what I'd like to know is if I do get put onto different medication such as the obove listed, I would also like to ideally keep on getting tramadol as well for minor pain and also for my partner who takes them for back pain but is unable to get them written. I filled out a three month trial consent form to consent to taking opiods for treatment of persistant pain for a trial period, and that was the first time I had to get an authority for the tramadol as I was prescribed the full 40 tablet boxes (instead of my usual 20 tab box) with two repeats. I know that morphine is also an authority drug so I'm worried that I might get into trouble for still getting both or is this allowed, also what happens if I get both prescribed but don't get them both on authority and just in smaller qauntities?
Great well thanks so much in advance for the help on this matter, and I look forward the replies!
Cheers,
Gemma.

Im not even sure if this question is allowed, but if it is, somebody is at least gonna need to know your location.

I really am not sure about the answer but as nsauce said it will depend where you live - different places have different regulations.

You would be best off discussing this with your doctor if you legitimately need both medications, although in general it is best to stick to one opioid. We definitely can't advise you on how to get it prescribed for your partner I am afraid!

Please take a look at the BDD guidelines in my signature :)
