Can you list some powerful non GABAergic sedatives/sleep aids

I need a decent mood enhancing, sleep aiding sedative which I haven't used before (the ones I've used, I've used too often and they stopped working) that I can use for the next too months. I'll keep this thread short, so: I've tried benzos, z-drugs, GHB, trazodone, mirtazapine, doxylamine (and other antihistamines), scopolamine (thats actually pretty good in low doses, but tolerance builds up way too fast), opioids, cannabinoids, melotonin (that only helps with sleep, has no sedating properties). I won't get into why, but they're not an option for me (well, a different antihistamine like hydroxyzine might work). Some other ones I've tried but not in high enough dosage since my doc will only prescribe the lowest dose are clonidine (0.25mg) and pregabalin (currently got prescribed 100 mg, bumped me up from 75 mg) but at these doses I feel nothing, so I'm not too optimistic about higher doses working. However, I've tried gabapentin in doses of 700 mg and it was a great mood booster, I thought pregabalin be a good mood booster too, but tried up to 300 mg and don't get much effects from it. Trazodone was brilliant, it not only knocked me out cold, it left me feeling good the next day. It was worth the brain fog side effect. Thats the kinda thing I'm looking for. I don't care if it poops out in a couple of months (which happened with both trazodone and mirtazapine) because thats the max amount of time I need it for. Anyone here tried alimenazine? My doc only prescribes the lowest doses so I need something that works at low doses, like trazodone and mirtazapine do. Unless higher doses of clonidine or pregabalin really do help, in that case I'll get the doc to up the dose. I'll never go near antipsychotics (the ones that block dopamine receptors at least), because this agitation issue seems like what they describe as akathisia, I've heard of people suffering long term akathisia from a single administration of risperdone so no way. D1/D2 agonists such as pramipexole is another substance I will never go near.

I want to try out are those melotonin receptor agonists, but I don't think they are available in my country yet. Tianeptine isn't either, so I need something thats not too uncommon. Kava would be perfect (its not just a GABA_a drug, it clearly has other mechanisms of action), but my shithole of a country banned it. I'd like to try corydalis extract to see if thats an effective mood enhancer. I haven't used NMDA antagonists regularly at all, I'm gonna ask my doc about memantine, that would help with the agitation and mood issues, its the agitation that causes the insomnia so it'd probably sort that out too. Another thing which looks promising are tricyclic antidepressants, they would knock me out but how do they leave you feeling the next day? Also, there are different types of TCAs, some probably better mood boosters than others, anyone know of one that gives next day mood enhancement without too much brain fog and other side effects? I've heard about amitriptyline (both good things and bad things), I'd give that a try, but if anyone here has experience with them and can recommend a good one, I'll go for that one.

As for uncommon ones which aren't regulated yet (so can be obtained legally from abroad), if there are any that people can vouch for I'd like to try them. I've heard about afobazole, but it doesn't sound useful enough for me to order. Some of those newly developed neuropeptide anxiolytics look interesting, anyone here tried them? Tianeptine is another interesting one, but I'd say thats regulated in my country, just not available.
