the tears trickle down my face dripping on the tables of time, burning songs on the records of my life as they spin continuously with no end. every single beat off the needle rages out through the speakers, calling out to the crowd. my soul jumps out of the speakers to the ears of the listeners. so clearly screaming loud, and sharing every moment the song cries. it builds almost to its peak, and then the anthem blows bass of soft whispering lyrics. the crowd goes wild, singing to every tune heard in "silence." slowly the song nears its end, and i set the head phones down to gaze up as to see all the dancing, but the listeners were no longer there, as if i trainwrecked during my set. They seem to have backed away into the dark corners from the main stage of my set. then a quick look to my left, and another to my right. no one screaming so loud, and the melodies of silence lurked in the air. my headphones are put back to my ears as if trying to hear a reason, but all said was nothing. my fingers hit the fader to the side and another record rotates onto my life.
