Bupe Can you get withdrawals from using subutex for 2 days?

Am just curious as I have a friend who is on this second day of subutex 1mg, he used 4mg the previous day...Should he continue to tape small amounts or just stop now after 2 days? his habbit before was H for 5 days...

So he's only done h for 5 days and then went on subutex? Okay that's weird but if he doesn't want to get withdrawal symptoms after stopping the sub's and he has enough of them he should taper 1 mg a day until he is down to 1 mg then do 0.5 mgs then 0,25 mgs then jump off he should be fine to do so then without skipping any days or anything since he's only used opiates for not even a week. His withdrawals would be very very minor though its better to quit now before your a full on junkie.

Either way, that's a very short period of time. Just stop taking everything, or you'll just make it worse.
 
He was using H occasionally on and of for 6 months...He's wondering would he get withdrawals from 4mg and 1mg of subutex, if used for 2-3 days.
 
If he was dependent on opiates, from the heroin use, then he is still dependent even if he switched to suboxone. You don't get a physical dependency to specific drugs like heroin or bupe.. you get dependent on opiates in general. So he's going to go through some withdrawal no matter what, the point of switching to something like bupe and tapering down to a low dose, then stopping, is to make the eventual withdrawals much less severe. So yes, if he was dependent from using the heroin, he'll still be dependent after taking the bupe, no matter how many days he takes it for. But as long as he was doing less bupe relative to his heroin tolerance, his withdrawals will be less severe. If he stops right now, it really wont be that bad. He'll feel shitty and uncomfortable, but it will be bearable.
 
Thats way too much suboxone for such a short period of use. I would snort like 1mg then taper down to snorting .5mg and even .25. It seems like nothing but when u snort suboxone instead of taking it orally it actually works a lot better imo. Also snorting a very small amount can give u some what of a high that u wouldnt get from taking a much larger dose orally..even snorting more really doesnt seem to do it as well as snorting a smaller amount. Not sure why this is but thats just my experience. I actually quit a very long n heavy h habit using about 6 mgs of suboxone. Short tapers with small doses of suboxone are very effective and u dont have to worry about having wds from the bupe once ur done.
