Can you drink open beer that is about a week old?

was it refrigerated or at ambient temp? if it was the latter I would not drink it since beer contains lots of sugar on which microbes can feed on and the alc. content isn't that high to really mitigate that.

if it was in the fridge, it will most likely just be stale and disgusting.
