Can you do anything with a pre-dated prescription?

Can you possibly get a prescription early that says: "Do not dispense until 9/27"? I don't think there is, but someone on here has to have more experience than me!

Thanks

Generally no. I believe that the pharmacist has some discretion in the matter, but not much. You can request that the pharmacy call your doctor and get verbal permission to fill it early.

With C-II medications in the US, you can only pick up 30 days worth at a time and refills are not permitted but doctors can post-date up to 3 months worth of scripts so patients don't need to go see their physician as frequently.

I knew a guy that went to jail over trying to get a pre dated prescription early.. If I were you I would just wait until the date on the script.. it definitely isn't worth trying anything crazy to get it early.
