Can Weed Change Personality?

i know plenty of depressed fucks who started smoking and it made them much more personable and sociable, permanently, not just when high

so it seemed to have the opposite effect, sliding them into the world as opposed to taking them out of it

so fuck yes, weed can change your personality but it's fucking complicated and its not necessarily for the worse

Most of my closest friends were total pot-heads. These guys would smoke pot all the time. Wake and Bake til bedtime! Because I hung around them a lot, that meant I would inevitably get high, even though I didnt like smoking pot unless it was really primo, or it was hash, and most of what was usually around wasnt primo!


There was one really long dry spell, where NOBODY could find pot anywhere in the tri-state area for months. This was back in like 1986, and so my pot head friends had to detox. I noticed their personalities were very different at that time. They had more energy, they thought clearer, less lazy, etc. Then pot came back, and everything went back to normal.....

although its all about what you make of it.........if you smoke to be productive, then you will be
 
The way I look at it, weed fundamentally alters your brain neurochemistry and your perception. Anything, whether it's weed or not, that has this effect will almost certainly cause a change of some description in the way your mind works if taken all day every day. However, if you take it in moderation, such as a couple of times per week, I think there's very little chance for it to cause issues.
