High,
I don't think it's necessarily "cruel" ... but I also don't think it's too "cool" either. tbh.
Good comments so far tho , some cats really do like the Cannabis ... some will even take to the growing plants and chew off a bunch of leaves
and as mentioned , some will always come and nest around the general vacinity when the owner is smokin up. Some won't tho ... and either way I don't think it's a decent thing to blow smoke into the cats face (and other pets) ... they are Extremely sensative to it , dogs also.
My old Labrador musta been at least 20kg and 1 breathfull blown slowly into face got it so hammered I started to get worried after a while (was much younger than I am now) ... after a minute or 2 she walked a few metres , went round in small circles a few times then laydown curled up ... didn't wake for hours and legs were twitching a bit ... ofc she was fine but I never blatantly blew smoke at her again as I thought it unfair , she cannot decide the dose and I cannot simply guess what sorta dose she was getting.
However , in her latter years she would come close when I lit up ... I figured she liked a bit of it and would just blow in general direction the tiniest puffs and she seemed to dig it (At 17+ I wasn't going to refuse her (always looked dissapointed when all I had was cig haha)
So yeh , for both dogs and cats ... some seem to like it , some don't. They are certainly very sensative to it ... and as for "smelling" it , if you can smell the smoke it means your breathing it in small amounts too , so even just being in a closed room with a pipe going is more than enough to get any pets present stoned ... maybe not the goldfish. :D
I don't know alot about Catnip but i think a greater percentage of cats like Catnip than they do Cannabis ... at least as a growing plant.
Interesting thoughts tho ...
Cheers.
