Can the size of a person determine how large their tolerance will be to drugs?

Can the size of a person determine how small or large their tolerance to drugs will be. Just like how the size of a person determines their tolerance to alcohol?
 
I'm sure others will chime in with even better info, but to some degree, yes. I don't know if overall tolerance would be the best way to describe it, but maybe a lower active dose. I know as a small female with no opiate tolerance, the much larger males I know with no opiate tolerance do seem to need more medication just for pain relief. The only personal experiences I have with people needing larger doses of well, almost ANY drug are the people I know who are almost 7 ft tall and built big...but they are significantly larger than average, and I'm guessing for most drugs the smallest active dose is often the shape of a bell-curve.
 
If somebody is very big it will cause a difference in their tolerance to drugs, but I feel that genetics play an equal or even larger role.

The biggest factors in tolerance are, of course, how often you use, how much you use, and what drug you're talking about.
 
It depends on the drug. Some drugs are weight dependent and others aren't. Also with something like opiates, even a small person can build up a tolerance and need more than a big person would the first time.

How about coke? Say you take two people who have been doing blow equally as long. Will the bigger guy need more coke to catch a buzz over the smaller person? Some people think this to be true. Is it?
