💂‍♂️ UK 💂‍♂️ Can St0res Just Kick Y0u 0ut F0r Being Disabled? v Fuck Y0u W.H.Smith

some security guards just have "complex" and in many countries legislation is favouring them or law enforcement is favouring them or whatever, it is law of money. Store gets privileges in form of these petty paranoid people (regular workers and security guards) harassing randoms, and that is somewhat legal over here too, sometimes not that legal but even then it is very difficult to do anything about it or get justice afterwards. When they see anything that is not crime or offense, they try to decipher how that is crime or offense. And they profile people.

Ok, mostly I am left alone, but I have encountered a good share of shadowy bullshit that proves it for me. I always try to leave my drugs to my bike bags because I think they are more safe outside than under random check of some douche.

Yes, we have laws protecting people with disabilities, but no frivolous lawsuits.
I dunno if things have gotten better [this happened in the early 2000s] but my aunt had a LEGIT lawsuit. She stayed at [like, vacation villa that she rented]. When she got there she reached into a cupboard. It was full of broken glass at the back [out of sight] and a large shard lacerated her hand. It was down to the bone and she lost function in two fingers due to severe tendon/ligament damage. The lawyers were "no-win, no-fee" and they DID win for her [a small amount since medical bills don't exist here] but there were so many hidden fees they tried t claim 80% of the money she was awarded. She had to hire ANOTHER lawyer to dispute that and the thing dragged out for years.

We don't have a "constitution" but have a lot of laws protecting the rights that people have, and obviously we have the 30 Basic Human Rights that apply to literally everybody in the world.
No free speech anymore.

I am sorry to hear that. Strangely; in America you could probably scare them off by mentioning the Americans with Disabilities Act.

I don't know(seriously) does The UK have a constitution?( besides whatever the Magna Carta is) ( an actual one ; not some abstract construct: That the Canadians claim is a constitution).

Does England have laws protecting the disabled. Also does England have too many lawyers and frivolous lawsuits like America?

As mentioned above, orthostatic hypertension is only considered to be a 'disability' if it prevents you from getting up and walking even short distances.

I used to suffer from syncope quite badly, to the extent that I often had to just fall to my knees, land safely and twitch on the floor, so I know it isn't any fun at all.

Oddly, it is easier to be classified as disabled in America.

I mean, I do technically have a 'heavyweight' disability under British law, but my syncope was just something I accepted. It didn't rule my life. It was horrible when it happened, yes. But I wouldn't have accepted being called 'disabled' because of that, just like I don't consider myself 'disabled' under my actual 'disability'.

Yeah, and Muslim immigrants are free to do whatever they want. I love the gangs being called " Asian". Ah, I thought that meant Oriental( why is that considered offensive)? By that standard Indians( from India or Indian lineage) would be Asians. What about most of Russia? Would White boys from Siberia be Called Asian?

How many Muslims do you actually know? Or are they just 'the other' for you?

Yes, 'Asian' became the word for people from the subcontinent in Britain. It was much better than the alternatives like 'Paki','wog', darkie etc.

And Indians are often - daily- called 'Asian' over here. There's a tendency to call a lot of people 'Chinese' when they're not Chinese but we always love the Chinese anyway. Great bunch of lads.

Would anybody call a Siberian 'Asian'? Probably not. Probably just Russian, even through they're obviously 'Asian'.

Will this do?

anyone who comes over here to live and tells they are finnish, imma gonna just call finnish by default. I don't even care about juridic status (this is fascist country anyway so I don't respect their shit). If I want to refer to roots or background some people has, I call them "x-backgrounded" (direct translation from finnish). It has made my life so much easier and it recognizes people with different backgrounds, welcome to the land I share with other people.

I know you were joking, but what is it with people who do that?

(I'm not saying that you are one of them or that you might know why, but it's an open question to anyone who may care to respond.)

I'm far from holier than though in such matters, but it's just gross to do that, and impossible to clean properly afterwards. (I should think :sus:.)

A guy I used to work with, had a thing for finishing on his keyboard. He used to disclose some very random things to say the least.

I was talking muck with a woman once via webcam, laptop on lap, no desk or anything. When things came to the the conclusion, well, you can imagine

You quite clearly don’t understand British nuances or their implications. Understandable, you’re not a native. So I’d suggest you choose another board to frequent, rather than weighing in here heavy handed when you don’t understand something or take it the wrong way.

Disrespectfully, of course.
Sadly, @LoginNotSecure , while I see that you prefer to hide behind acerbic rhetoric and fear mongering - this is @Pissed_and_messed 's forum. You are welcome to engage here, but please make an effort to be courteous to your host while abiding by the forum rules, site rules, and perhaps find somewhere else (4chan or some other such place) to belittle the opinions of others, otherwise we'll have an issue. If you'd like to step up and be of service to the community, you're always welcome to apply.

I hope this was courteous enough for you.

Respectfully,
Tryptakid

i'll echo the others and remind loginnotsecure that the name of this forum is "European & African Drug Discussion" not "British Drug Discussion" and, in any case, any bluelighter is welcome to post here.

I think that being general drug wreckheads and binge drinkers is one thing that the British do more of than many other countries.

We'd be near the top of the worldwide premier division I think.

Scotland is the drug death capital of Europe , or used to be until recently

I think Russia and those countries where there's literally no sun for half of the year beat us alcohol wise. We need to pump those numbers up.

I don't think England and Wales are too far behind?

But yeah I was going to say that I'd expect Russia to top us for alcohol consumption and problems, and maybe some of the other coldest and darkest countries.

Also although obviously no longer having their own nations the Aborigines in Australia have massive drink and drug issues, and the Native American communities have huge alcohol problems. So much so that certain 'reservations' are designated 'dry.'
