Opioids Can someone help?...DHC & Zopiclone.

I hope this is in the right place.

Hello all, Yesterday I was scriped 21 x 3.75 Zopiclone tabs for sleep problems, what my doctor doesn't know is that I also take around 300mg of DHC daily (SPD which they refuse to give me anything for except ibuprofen 8))

Anyway, I didn't take any last night as I wanted to do a little research first.
I did utfse but couldn't really find anything.

My last dose of DHC is around 6.00pm and i'd be taking one of the zopiclone tabs around 1.00am I know they're both CNS depressants but never had any breathing problems with the DHC. (although funnily enough I did when using codeine)

So I guess I just want to know is, if in your opinions it would be ok to take one....I realise it's a really small dose, but i've never really taken anything like this before, and tbh I was expecting her to give me a stronger dose of dipenhydramine or a couple of diazepam or something.

One tablet with your normal dhc dose will be fine.that's a small amount off zopiclone.I wish dhc was OTC here since it has no ceiling like codeine does,which is OTC here.you'll probably end up taking 2 of the zopiclone tabs due to lack of effects IMO,so be prepared for a bitter metallic taste from the zopiclone if you've never taken it before.do you get sick when you don't take dhc?if so,does 300 mg's get you high or just keep you well?answering these questions will help us answer yours

300mg is a nice dosage, but it's spread out through the day.

Unfortunatly that old friend tolerance is unforgiving and some days I could take upto 550mg ( I haven't done that for a while as it just tends to make me feel sick)

I much prefer DHC over codeine, no itching, no consipation, I do get that flutter in the ear that some talk about, but no other ill effects.

Yeah, I read the leaflet and the dose she's advised me to take is for the elderly and people with breathing problems, but to be really honest I value the opinions of people here (who have actual experience) rather that whet she reads from a textbook.

Yeah you could take 2 or 3 if you have tolerance to the DHC with no problems. But like the person before me said, get ready for a mouth full of pennys the next day. It seriosuly tastes like SHIT you can drink water or orange juice or eat for that matter. Its the worst after taste of any drug EVER. But the drug itself is extremely fun, try staying awake after taking it. Prefferably in the dark, very fun visuals.

Well if you do decide to mix the 2 drugs,take a slightly smaller dose of dhc than you normally do.if you aren't where you wanna be just increase slowly until you find your "sweet spot".zopiclone will increase the sedation and CNS/respiratory depression so don't over do it like I said take it slow man. And like tablehead said,if you take enough expect some visuals,I've personally had some intense hallucinations from zopiclone.

I'd agree that you'd be fine With your tolerance to DHC there should be no complications.
If you want to be super safe, then take a slightly smaller dose of DHC during the day and see how it effects you. If you feel fine then you could take your normal dose next time

Not from that tiny amount no,I've only had the 7.5 mg tablets,and staying awake on 4 or 5 of those gave me visuals.don't take that much your first time or with an opiate though(unless you have a tolerance)

No, I don't have tolerance to those...don't really want to either tbh....8)

The other q I wanted to ask was, if I take these for the 2 weeks every night to get my sleeping patterns back to normal (as advised) will ?I get rebound insomnia, or withdrawls?

None of this was explained to me, I had to look them up when I got home
