I googled and searched the shit out of this one.. All I got was. "because it does."

It doesn't bother me when I have it on uppers.. But I am just wondering what exactly is going on.

Not sure if this is the right board.. Looked around.

Peace

it is normal, twitching is caused from over exert the muscles of your eye and your eyelids. my guess is that the twitch happens after you stay up after-hours and get no sleep for 24+ hrs. anyways, you are on speed or coke or a stim, you are not going to be tempted to doze off and close your eyes, your eyes are going to be wide open!!

Thanks man, the part about the muscle exertion was really interesting to hear.

Yeah.. Too high of doses\duration\redoses.

It never made me worried, it just got so bad at one point I could barely read in front of me.. Sounds reckless but, felt too good to care : D

It could be a myoclonic twitch more specifically eyelid myoclonia. It happens a lot on stimulants, or anything that messes with the seizure threshold. It could also be essential dystonia, another neurological disorder. In both cases they can be amplifyed by stress, and they're usually pretty benign if they only happen on stimulants.

As Chrom mentioned, it happens often on stimulants.

I figured I'd pop in and say that, and that all the above symptoms fucking suck and can fall off a bridge and die.

Sorry.

Depends on what kind of eye twitch you mean.

I've caught myself in not being able to/not wanting to look straight because of underlying psychological issues amplified by the stimulant. This manifests in a kind of "itch" in my eyes and looking like an idiot. It's usually solved when I realize what I am thinking and correcting myself.

Dopamine transmission is involved in muscle contraction, and stimulants generally increase its transmission in certain areas of the brain.

Makes sense. Yeah, cause I was like.. Oh, eye twitching again, it didn't bother me.. But I started to wonder.. I know this happens, but why the fuck does this happen?

PMS: by eye twiching, I mean as in your eyes are just wigging out and twitching like crazy. Mine got so bad I couldn't focus on anything or even think straight.. was way too spun.

Luckily it only happens on stimulants to me.

I actually get eye twitches randomly throughout the year. It's a twitch that bothers the shit out of me, but apparently isn't visible to anyone. It's more like my eyelid that is twitching, and I can FEEL it, but no one can see it. I guess its that minimal visibly.

This is completely sober. My mother said she gets them too.

Wait, do you mean your actual eyeball wiggling back and forth?

If so that's nystagmus. Not sure of the exact cause but it has some serotonergic mechanism.

Amps and mdma caused my eyes to shake really bad. Figured it was neurotransmitter related. I get bad cramps in the muscle in your neck, like your jaw area under your tongue. They suck so bad
