Can PST go bad??

Ok so I made about 600mg of PST 3 days ago, drank it, and was pretty fucked for about 20hrs. These seeds were dripping with ops.

Anyways, I left the seeds in the bottle cause I live in an apartment, and today I wanted to use the same bottle to make some more. I emptied as much as I could out of the bottle but there was still about 150mg left and it was kinda damp. It smelled pretty gross. I added about 350 more to the bottle and mixed it up.

Its suuuper opaque, a brownish colour like it was last time, but I cant even see seeds that are floating less than a cm in.

Im just wondering if the seeds from 3 days ago would have gone bad or something making this unsafe to drink. Or if they just fermented and im gunna get sedated from it.

Seeds don't last more than 2 days. You'll probably throw up if you drink it, you should have tossed the old seeds and simply washed the new ones.

Seeds aren't good for more than a couple of rewashes either. Sitting on damp seeds for more than 1 day will leave you with a fermented bottle of yuck, 2 days and it's completely unusable.

When re-using a bottle, rinse the old seeds out properly. The seeds glued to the sides and bottom are really gross and have released all kinds of undesirable (and stinky) fats and oils you don't want in your tea. That's also what is clouding your new batch up.

In short, it probably won't kill you, but it will most likely make you puke...don't let them sit! The clock starts ticking as soon as you pour water on them.

I dont feel sick or anything but I will definately just toss them and keep my bottle clean for the future.
yea 2 washes always gets all of it.

note to any readers, poppy seed tea gets nasty after 2 days

If you have tea you can't drink, put it in the freezer. If it had been in the fridge for a couple nights you'd be OK, but not sitting out.
