Can past bad experiences/relationships with men turn a straight woman lesbian?

I think that bad experiences with men could lead a woman to explore other options- but I believe that starts with an emotional connection first. Women in general are more in tune with feelings and emotional needs and desires, so I think that can spark something that you possible didn't know was there before. Just as one poster above said, you never really hear stories about this happening with men- and that just follows what I am saying because in general, men are less in tune with that sort of thing.
I guess maybe I believe that men and women fall in love different. And if a woman finds that she can connect with another woman on a deeper level, than it's much easier to be open to the possibility that a sexual relationship could grow from that.

i've seen one person thinking they were bi when they were straight after a man abused them and one girl being a lesbian who happened to be abused by a man earlier on so it works in both directions.

it either clarifies your viewpoint or confuses you massively.

thats not to mention people who go off sex with anyone after being abused
